This week, the Silver Screen Library has reviews of a semi-autobiographical coming-of-age novel from actor/writer Edward Burns, A Kid from Marlboro Road, as well as the latest horror anthology from editor Ellen Datlow, appropriately named Fears. We also look at George A. Romero's last work (co-written by Daniel Kraus), Pay the Piper, a departure from the zombie genre that looks at horror deep in the Louisiana Bayou, and Fatal Intrusion. a cutting-edge serial killer thriller by Jeffery Deaver and Isabella Maldonado.

In our Classic Mysteries section, we have two mysteries featuring murders committed inside a Broadway theater. First, we review Frances and Richard Lockridge's Death on the Aisle, featuring Mr. and Mrs. North. Then we have the first Ellery Queen novel, The Roman Hat Mystery
